About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager for Aviation at Global Medical Response (GMR) is a pivotal role that focuses on enhancing the recruitment efforts for the company's fixed-wing air solutions group. This position is designed for a dynamic leader who will not only manage but also actively participate in the recruitment process, ensuring that the team meets its goals in attracting high-quality candidates for pilot positions across various GMR brands, including Guardian Flight, Eaglemed, SevenBar Aviation, AMI, and Cal-Ore Life Flight. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies that align with the company's mission of providing care to the world at a moment's notice. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Manager will lead a team of aviation recruiting professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve high-quality recruiting outcomes. This includes consulting with hiring managers to identify specific needs for critical openings, creating job announcements, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. The manager will also be responsible for sourcing candidates through various channels, including social media and professional networks, and will participate in recruiting events and job fairs to build a robust pipeline of candidates. The position requires a strong understanding of the aviation industry, particularly in air ambulance operations, and a proven track record in corporate recruiting or talent acquisition. The manager will need to maintain a high level of attention to detail, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to lead and mentor a team effectively. This role may be performed remotely, with a preference for candidates located in Utah, Colorado, Texas, or other Mountain States, and will involve occasional travel for recruiting events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the members of the GMR fixed-wing recruitment team to achieve high quality recruiting outcomes.
  • Consult with hiring managers and regional leadership to identify needs and key specifications for critical openings.
  • Provide full-desk recruiting support, including creating and posting job announcements and ensuring timely responses to candidate applications.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing excellent customer service and education on GMR's employer value proposition.
  • Create targeted recruitment strategies to identify and develop candidate pipelines from various sources.
  • Provide information to candidates about GMR's culture, benefits, and growth opportunities.
  • Serve as the escalated point-of-contact with hiring managers and candidates throughout the interview and hiring process.
  • Manage and participate in in-person and virtual recruiting events, job fairs, and aviation conferences.
  • Provide consistent updates and data reporting on hiring performance.

Requirements

  • Aviation experience highly preferred; former or active pilot with industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Understanding of Air Ambulance operations, EMS or medical transport, or other Part 135 operations.
  • 3-5 years of Management experience directing and supporting teams in a high-volume environment.
  • 3-5 years of corporate recruiting or talent acquisition experience is highly desirable; agency experience is helpful.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree helpful.
  • Occasional travel to corporate offices of GMR or various fixed wing headquarter locations.
  • Willingness to travel to events as necessary (may include weekends) for relevant recruiting events or networking opportunities.
  • Ability to speak and present in front of groups.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) - iCIMS a plus.
  • Experienced creative sourcer and networker with ability to navigate social media and other professional networking tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail with solid organizational, time management and project management skills.
  • Proven experience with sales, account management or high-level influencing skills across multiple functions.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams to excellent performance.
