The Talent Acquisition Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that Legacy Charter Schools are staffed with dedicated and effective educators and support personnel. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Talent for Vertex, this position will lead a team to develop and implement recruitment strategies that fill all vacancies with high-quality hires. The Talent Acquisition Manager will also oversee the sourcing and onboarding of contractors, particularly SPED teachers and related service providers, while managing relationships with contracting agencies. By ensuring efficient and cost-effective recruitment processes, this role directly supports our mission of changing lives through education.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of recruiters and a contingent workforce specialist.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities.
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics for the recruitment team.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to fill all vacancies with quality hires.
  • Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics such as time to fill, interview-to-offer conversion rate, and offer acceptance rate.
  • Ensure alignment of recruitment strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve recruitment processes.
  • Oversee the contingent workforce specialist in sourcing and onboarding contractors, particularly SPED teachers and related service providers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contracting agencies to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage costs associated with contingent workforce solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to contingent workforce management.
  • Collaborate with school leadership and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and priorities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Sr. Director of Talent on recruitment activities and outcomes.
  • Work closely with the HR team to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners and organizations to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement and leverage technology solutions to streamline recruitment activities.
  • Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Ensure the recruitment process is candidate-centric and promotes a positive candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing a recruitment team.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful recruitment strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the education sector or with charter schools.
  • Experience managing contingent workforce solutions, particularly in sourcing and onboarding SPED teachers and related service providers.
  • Additional relevant certifications in talent acquisition or workforce management.
