About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager will lead recruitment and hiring processes within the manufacturing industry, focusing on developing the recruiting team and maintaining a strong employment brand. This role is a long-term contract opportunity based in Hopkins, Minnesota.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end talent acquisition strategies that align with business goals, including requisition management, posting, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Utilize multiple strategies for recruitment including direct sourcing, industry networking, employee referrals, Internet sourcing, diversity sourcing, targeted advertising, and college programs.
  • Lead talent acquisition-related diversity initiatives.
  • Maintain the organization's external presence in line with the employment brand and employee value proposition.
  • Oversee and improve the onboarding process to ensure a positive new permanent and hiring manager experience.
  • Manage relationships with staffing vendors, overseeing performance expectations and budget control.
  • Lead campus recruitment activities, including the company internship program.
  • Lead the technology management for applicant tracking systems, social recruiting platforms, and diversity recruiting platforms, and collaborate with HRIS on system integration and reporting.
  • Anticipate and proactively resolve stakeholder/customer alignment opportunities; ensure high level of customer service through ongoing engagement with corporate and operations customers including managers, executives, and HR Business Partners.
  • Lead and mentor the team, providing ongoing coaching, and career development support for team members.
  • Set, measure, and manage key metrics to maintain effectiveness of recruiters.
  • Lead online and social recruiting strategy development and execution; ensure platforms are appropriately leveraged and in line with current user behavior.
  • Partner with Business Partner teams to implement hiring manager training related to talent acquisition best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record in Talent Acquisition or similar role.
  • Proficient in using 'About Time', 'iCIMS', and 'UKG Pro' software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in Corporate Recruiting and Executive Recruitment.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive background checks.
  • Adept at developing and implementing recruitment strategies.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of labor legislation and hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR databases.
