About the position

Westgate Resorts is seeking an experienced and passionate Talent Acquisition Manager to lead a team of Recruiters and Associate Recruiters. This role is pivotal in sourcing talent primarily for Resort Operations and Food and Beverage positions. The Talent Acquisition Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition and will be responsible for guiding the team through daily recruitment activities, ensuring they meet the department's goals and deliver exceptional service to candidates and hiring managers alike. The successful candidate will be instrumental in removing obstacles that hinder recruitment efforts and will conduct performance reviews to foster team development. In this position, the Talent Acquisition Manager will oversee recruitment strategies that align with the business objectives of Westgate Resorts, which operates across various locations in the U.S. The role involves managing a limited number of requisitions, from job postings to candidate onboarding, while also collaborating with marketing teams to enhance the employer brand through effective recruitment marketing materials. The manager will also be responsible for conducting reference checks and providing insights to hiring managers, ensuring that the recruitment process adheres to company policies and best practices. The role requires a proactive approach to recruitment, utilizing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and improve the quality of hires. The Talent Acquisition Manager will also represent Westgate Resorts professionally in all interactions, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey. This position may require travel to various properties to address recruitment challenges and support hiring efforts, with an expected travel percentage of 5-20%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of full-cycle Recruiters, ensuring their success in meeting recruitment goals.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts for multiple client groups and lines of business across U.S.-based Westgate locations.
  • Implement and execute day-to-day recruitment strategies that align with business objectives and support hiring needs.
  • Conduct coaching sessions and annual performance reviews to foster team growth and development.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and recruitment processes, including key metrics and reporting.
  • Manage a limited number of requisitions, handling the full recruitment lifecycle from job posting to candidate onboarding.
  • Collaborate with social and digital marketing teams to create effective recruitment marketing materials that strengthen our employer brand.
  • Conduct reference checks for exempt positions and provide insights to hiring managers.
  • Travel to various properties as needed to address recruitment challenges and support hiring efforts.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to guide recruitment decisions and create reports that inform strategic direction.
  • Partner effectively with internal teams such as Human Resources, HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, Preboarding, and Marketing.
  • Represent Westgate Resorts with professionalism in all interactions, ensuring service excellence throughout the candidate journey.
  • Organize and participate in hiring events to enhance recruiting efforts and brand visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of management experience in Talent Acquisition.
  • 5+ years of external recruiting experience, ideally within hospitality or resort/hotel, or corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in recruitment.
  • Proficiency in recruiting for high-volume nonexempt positions as well as exempt and corporate roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • A strong balance of analytical and emotional intelligence, with persuasive decision-making abilities.
  • Independent, proactive, and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), SmartRecruiters highly preferred.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and travel as needed (5-20% travel required).

  • PHR or SPHR certification, or recruitment-related certifications.
  • Experience with scheduling, interviewing, and pre-employment assessment tools.
