About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at The Children's Center of Wayne County (TCC) plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's talent acquisition strategy. This position is responsible for leading the design and implementation of comprehensive recruiting processes that align with TCC's mission to provide specialized clinical, foster care, and support services to children facing various challenges. The manager will oversee the full cycle of recruiting, ensuring that the agency maintains a robust talent pipeline to meet current and future staffing needs. This includes direct sourcing, screening, and assessing candidates while representing TCC's brand to both passive and active job seekers. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Manager will develop strategic recruiting plans aimed at sourcing diverse and qualified candidates. This involves maintaining a pipeline for recurring vacancies and actively participating in job fairs and community outreach to promote TCC as an employer of choice. The manager will also be responsible for conducting interviews, administering pre-employment assessments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and guidelines. A key aspect of this position is to foster strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders to facilitate a smooth hiring process and enhance the overall candidate experience. The manager will also be tasked with analyzing recruiting data and metrics to identify trends and measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts. Additionally, they will assist in training hiring managers on best practices for interviewing and selection processes, ensuring that TCC attracts and retains top talent while adhering to the organization's core values of dedication, passion, accountability, a can-do attitude, and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of TCC's talent acquisition strategy.
  • Manage the full cycle recruiting process, including direct sourcing, screening, and assessing candidates.
  • Develop and implement strategic recruiting plans to maintain a diverse and qualified candidate pipeline.
  • Represent TCC at job fairs and build relationships with diverse organizations and universities.
  • Conduct screening and interviewing of applicants, ensuring qualifications are met.
  • Administer candidate pre-employment assessments and facilitate employment offers.
  • Maintain open communication with candidates to ensure a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders to ensure a smooth hiring process.
  • Maintain job descriptions and assist hiring managers with best practice interviewing techniques.
  • Develop and maintain recruiting data and metrics to measure effectiveness and identify trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university.
  • A minimum of seven years of full life cycle recruiting experience preferred.
  • At least five years of recruiting management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases, preferably ADP.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret metrics and develop strategies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal employment regulations.
  • Ability to project a professional image and positive attitude in any work environment.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular hours as necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive sourcing/recruitment strategies.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
