About the position

The Pfister Hotel is seeking a dynamic and innovative Talent Acquisition Manager to lead the recruitment efforts for our esteemed hotel and associated restaurants. This role is pivotal in ensuring that we attract and retain extraordinary hospitality professionals who embody the spirit of our brand. The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to managing relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders. This position requires a proactive approach to talent acquisition, focusing on building a strong candidate pipeline and enhancing our employer brand within the Milwaukee area. As a Talent Acquisition Manager, you will engage with candidates through meaningful experiences, ensuring that each interaction reflects the high standards of The Pfister Hotel. You will be tasked with sourcing and selecting talent for various hospitality positions, reducing the time to fill vacancies while maintaining quality. This includes pre-screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and promoting open positions through social media and other innovative channels. Your ability to identify new talent sources and effectively manage relationships will be crucial in creating awareness of The Pfister Hotel as a premier employer in the hospitality industry. In addition to recruitment, you will track hiring metrics to assess the effectiveness of different sourcing strategies, allowing for continuous improvement in our hiring processes. Your role will also involve collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with our organizational goals and values. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in recruiting or human resources, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Source and select talent for hospitality positions in the hotels within the greater Milwaukee area, while reducing overall time to fill.
  • Pre-screen and act as contact person for all viable hospitality candidates.
  • Set-up interviews for hiring managers with qualified candidates.
  • Post and promote active hospitality positions on social media, while experimenting with new methods of advertisement and promotion.
  • Seek out and identify new sources of talent successfully maintaining our candidate pipeline.
  • Effectively manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create awareness of The Pfister Hotel and other business units as the premier hospitality employer brand within Milwaukee.
  • Track and achieve hires by source, monitoring which are key sources and eliminating sources that prove to be less successful.

Requirements

  • Four year college degree in related field
  • Prior experience in Recruiting, Human Resources, or Customer Service fields
  • Prior experience working with social media
  • Ability to develop relationships and establish trust and credibility
  • Outgoing, professional and positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently with high level of confidence
  • High degree of organization and self-motivation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel locally to attend job fairs and community events
  • Computer, applicant tracking system (Taleo) and candidate relationship management tools experience preferred
