About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at Maesa is responsible for overseeing the full cycle recruitment process, focusing on building a robust recruiting platform that leverages new technologies and networking strategies. This role requires a strategic approach to sourcing candidates and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies. The position is based in New York City and involves a hybrid work setup, requiring in-office presence a few days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to hiring and onboarding candidates for various roles within the organization.
  • Develop creative strategies to proactively source candidates through multiple channels such as job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future job openings.
  • Partner with department heads and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and help them develop effective job descriptions.
  • Conduct phone screens, in-person interviews, and technical assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications and fit with the company culture.
  • Promote the company's brand to attract top talent, including participation in recruitment events, job fairs, and online recruitment marketing.
  • Use recruitment metrics and analytics to monitor recruitment success and optimize recruitment strategies.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Ensure recruitment practices comply with local labor laws and internal company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting, sourcing strategies, and employer branding.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting software, with Greenhouse being a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in recruiting for marketing, operations/supply chain, digital, e-commerce, social, and finance roles is preferred.
  • Beauty and or CPG industry experience a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in compensation discussions.
