About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at DHL is a pivotal role responsible for developing and executing recruiting strategies that attract top talent to the organization. This position is based at the Cincinnati Hub in Erlanger, Kentucky, and reports directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition for NET OPS. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive experience in talent acquisition to build strategic partnerships both internally and externally, ensuring that DHL remains at the forefront of recruiting trends and compliance with safety, security, and regulatory policies. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Manager will oversee the entire talent acquisition process, which includes sourcing, employer branding, candidate engagement, screening, selection, and hiring. They will serve as a subject matter expert on the applicant tracking system (Avature) and will be responsible for creating and implementing recruiting strategies tailored to the specific needs of various business divisions. The manager will screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates for both qualifications and cultural fit, acting as the primary point of contact for successful candidates throughout the screening process. Additionally, the Talent Acquisition Manager will analyze the company's hiring needs, develop comprehensive sourcing strategies, and generate reports on recruitment metrics to provide insights for process improvement. They will foster relationships with key candidates and represent DHL at job fairs and recruiting events. The role requires collaboration with hiring managers to anticipate staffing needs and develop strategies that enhance talent retention. The manager will also facilitate full-cycle recruiting, including pre-employment assessments, and provide guidance and training to colleagues and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver excellence in each stage of the talent acquisition process including sourcing, employer brand, candidate engagement and experience, screening, selection and hiring.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert of the Talent acquisition applicant tracking system (Avature).
  • Create and implement recruiting strategies and processes that meet assigned business division's talent acquisition needs.
  • Screen resumes and interview candidates to assess their qualifications relevant to the vacant position and cultural fit for the organization.
  • Manage applicant tracking flow, records maintenance and candidate dispositioning to maintain compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Research talent acquisition trends to improve current processes including benchmark best practices in the TA arena.
  • Identify and evaluate trends on recruiting, including local and economic conditions as well as competitive institutions to develop innovative strategic plans.
  • Analyze the company's hiring and talent needs to anticipate hiring.
  • Create and implement comprehensive targeted sourcing strategy via various methods for qualified active and passive candidates.
  • Generate reports on recruitment metrics and provide insights to improve the recruitment process.
  • Foster and cultivate relationships with key candidates (talent pool).
  • Drive final interview process to completion and offer through proactive communication.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs and recruiting events.
  • Partner with recruiters to provide support for candidates and make recommendations for effective candidate searches.
  • Select and manage relationships with top executive search professionals for executive hiring.
  • Work with hiring managers to anticipate needs and fill positions based on data and forecasts.
  • Partner with business leaders and HR colleagues to develop strategies, programs, and initiatives that improve talent retention.
  • Facilitate full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and pre-employment assessments.
  • Lead intake meetings with Hiring Managers to align on job search parameters.
  • Provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to colleagues and partners.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
  • 7 years' experience in the Talent acquisition field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a head-hunting agency.
  • Personable and able to comfortably deal with all job levels including executives.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, multitask requests, and adapt quickly to processes and procedures.
  • Project management and negotiation skills are an asset.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and with an ATS.
  • Self-motivated, agile and able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Previous experience recruiting for Management level positions.
  • Previous experience recruiting for operations positions and Union environments.
  • Knowledge of compliance and legal requirements.
