About the position

Sonatus is a well-funded, fast-paced, and fast-growing company whose technologies and software help automakers build dynamic software-defined vehicles. With two generations of solutions already on the road with a top global OEM, our vehicle and cloud software solutions are at the forefront of the digital transformation of vehicles. The Sonatus team is a talented and diverse collection of technology and automotive specialists hailing from many of the most prominent companies in their respective industries. This is a unique opportunity to lead the growth of the Talent Acquisition (TA) function at Sonatus from the ground up. As our first TA Manager hire, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our recruitment strategy. We're transitioning from a heavy reliance on external agencies to bringing talent acquisition in-house, and this is your chance to make a lasting impact. With an exciting 40% headcount growth forecasted for 2025-primarily within Engineering, but also across Product, Sales, and Operations-you'll be at the forefront of building a world-class talent pipeline for a rapidly scaling global company. You'll also have the opportunity to expand and grow your team and define the entire recruitment strategy for 2025 and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Lead talent acquisition efforts across all Sonatus locations globally.
  • Develop and implement the TA strategy for 2025, aligning with the company's growth objectives.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to identify, attract, and hire the right talent, ensuring alignment with both technical and cultural needs.
  • Champion and drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the hiring process.
  • Provide training and support to hiring managers and interviewers on best practices for recruitment, interviewing, and candidate evaluation.
  • Track and analyze key recruiting metrics to drive data-informed decisions and improve future planning.
  • Prioritize and elevate the candidate experience, ensuring a seamless and engaging journey for all applicants.
  • Step in as a hands-on recruiter for senior-level roles when necessary.
  • Lead efforts to streamline our use of recruitment agencies-reducing reliance, defining criteria for agency partnerships, and managing external input.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in recruitment, with at least 3 years managing an in-house TA team.
  • Proven experience in building recruitment processes and frameworks from scratch, ideally in a fast-growing tech startup environment.
  • Strong experience in engineering recruitment, with a deep understanding of the tech talent market.
  • Exposure to AI recruitment or related technologies is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of ambiguity.
  • A go-getter with a results-driven mindset-someone who can make decisions with limited information and drive change.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of delivering on ambitious hiring goals and leading a team to success.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and equity program
  • Health care plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Flexible and Dependent Care Expense program
  • Retirement plan (401k)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Unlimited paid time off per year
  • Hybrid office work arrangement: work from the office 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
