About the position

JobsOhio is a private, nonprofit corporation designed to drive job creation and new capital investment in Ohio through business attraction, retention, and expansion efforts. The Talent Acquisition Manager will play a crucial role in creating and implementing talent acquisition strategies that align with JobsOhio's initiatives to strengthen the state's talent pipeline. This position involves assessing the full candidate journey, from employer branding to recruiting and training, to ensure that JobsOhio meets the talent needs of its focus industries. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to develop customized talent acquisition plans that are responsive to the unique needs of various companies. The role requires maintaining a current understanding of national sourcing activities and serving as a subject matter expert in recruiting and sourcing, including out-of-state recruitment tactics. The Talent Acquisition Manager will build and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration in delivering talent acquisition services. This includes managing job postings, candidate journeys, and sourcing tools, as well as monitoring the performance of talent acquisition tactics to ensure they meet the recruitment goals of client companies. Additionally, the manager will analyze talent acquisition outcomes and metrics to enhance the candidate experience and process efficiencies. This position will require some travel throughout the state of Ohio to engage with clients, vendors, and stakeholders as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement talent acquisition strategies related to JobsOhio's initiatives.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop customized talent acquisition plans.
  • Maintain knowledge of national sourcing activity and serve as a subject matter expert in recruiting and sourcing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors in the sourcing space.
  • Communicate national and statewide trends to key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Vet each company's unique needs related to candidate engagement and talent acquisition.
  • Develop tailored approaches for multiple level positions and skill sets.
  • Coordinate with the client-facing project delivery team to ensure effective talent acquisition services.
  • Monitor and adjust talent acquisition tactics based on performance metrics and trends.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of corporate talent acquisition or recruitment strategy experience.
  • Experience engaging with clients across varied industries or recruitment agency experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion.
  • Proficient in utilizing data to inform talent decisions and enjoy research.
  • Ability to adjust readily and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current employment practices and diverse talent attraction methods.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, Salesforce, LinkedIn, and job boards.
