About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is responsible for overseeing the full recruitment cycle, ensuring that open positions are filled promptly with high-quality candidates. This role combines strategic leadership in recruitment practices with hands-on execution of recruiting duties, contributing to SLCC's reputation as an employer of choice. The manager will implement innovative sourcing strategies, manage recruitment processes, and analyze key performance metrics to enhance recruitment effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee facilitation and implementation of all phases of the talent acquisition/recruitment process.
  • Provide comprehensive full-cycle talent acquisition strategies to hiring managers.
  • Proactively source candidates using various platforms and community events.
  • Develop and maintain a talent pipeline strategy for future recruitment needs.
  • Manage recruitment processes for priority positions and develop outreach programs.
  • Conduct intake sessions with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs.
  • Assist hiring managers with drafting interview questions and performing reference checks.
  • Create and maintain strategic recruitment plans to increase applicant pools.
  • Represent SLCC as an employer of choice at recruitment events and job fairs.
  • Develop key performance metrics and dashboards for recruitment accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of direct, paid, full-time experience in full-cycle recruiting.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing recruitment strategies.
  • Knowledge of effective talent acquisition strategies and current HR laws.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a higher education environment.
  • Professional certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
  • Demonstrated experience in program/project management.
