About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at Equinox Gold will lead a team of recruiters to develop and implement innovative hiring strategies aimed at attracting top talent for the company's growth. This role involves overseeing the full recruitment lifecycle, fostering relationships with hiring managers, and ensuring a diverse and inclusive hiring process. The manager will also be responsible for enhancing employee retention and promoting the company's brand at various recruitment events.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop sourcing and recruitment strategies.
  • Develop effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community to influence the recruiting and hiring processes.
  • Manage full life cycle recruitment.
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Maintain an environment of equal employment, inclusion, and diversity in support of the Company's initiatives.
  • Utilize HRIS tools for proper collection and storage of recruitment data, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Design, plan, and execute selection processes including conducting interviews and screening calls, and administering psychological tests.
  • Perform candidate and employee satisfaction evaluations and workshops.
  • Suggest measures for improving employee retention.
  • Lead, oversee, and supervise members of the recruiting team.
  • Attend career and college fairs, and similar events to promote company branding and increase cultural awareness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of full cycle recruiting experience with 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge in mining, manufacturing, and/or construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to design and implement full-cycle performance management programs.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Previous experience with the creation of new programs, such as internships with universities.
  • Familiarity with a variety of different selection methods (interviews, assignments, psychological tests, etc.).
  • Prior experience with large scale increases in staffing.
  • Experience in all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, employee referrals, job postings, as well as conducting open houses and virtual job fairs.
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, sourcing, and recruitment marketing tools.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
