About the position

The Talent Acquisition (TA) and Onboarding Manager role at Gibraltar is a pivotal position that requires extensive collaboration across various stakeholders to ensure a high level of service delivery and operational excellence in recruitment and onboarding. This role is accountable for the tools, processes, and systems that facilitate an effective recruitment process, enabling hiring managers to find their ideal candidates while providing candidates with a seamless application experience. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, the TA and Onboarding Manager supports all divisional companies and is responsible for creating and managing programs and policies that enhance recruitment and onboarding, positioning MAPS group as a preferred employer in the communities it serves. In this role, the manager will oversee the entire TA lifecycle, optimizing and standardizing processes to improve the application and selection experience for both internal and external candidates. Building strong relationships with cross-functional partners is essential, as is the ability to identify new TA opportunities based on strategic goals and business needs. The manager will handle all recruitment and selection activities with urgency, manage the pre-employment process, and ensure that all TA communications are current and engaging. Additionally, the role involves advertising and scheduling employment events, coordinating interview schedules, and developing new talent pools through networking resources. On the onboarding side, the manager will plan, coordinate, and manage the new hire onboarding program for all MAPS organizations, ensuring that new hires receive a positive onboarding experience. This includes overseeing the quality and consistency of the onboarding curriculum, collaborating with production trainers, and maintaining a working knowledge of best practices in the field. The manager will also focus on developing people to meet both their career goals and the organization's objectives, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture throughout the onboarding process.

Responsibilities

  • Owns, oversees and operates the TA life cycle from start to finish.
  • Optimize, standardize and streamline TA processes to provide the best application and selection experience.
  • Build strong relationships with cross functional partners.
  • Own projects and programs, define goals and create deliverables for all TA initiatives.
  • Identify new TA opportunities leveraging data based on strategic goals and business needs.
  • Handle all assigned recruitment and selection activities with urgency.
  • Manage the pre-employment process including offer preparation and new hire surveys.
  • Ensure all TA communications are current, accurate, and engaging.
  • Responsible for advertising and scheduling employment events.
  • Coordinate interview schedules with candidates, hiring managers, and interview teams.
  • Manage travel and transportation arrangements for candidates.
  • Develop new talent pools through internal/external contacts and networking resources.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify recruitment needs and coordinate job descriptions.
  • Work with Corporate HR and MAPS HR team to ensure competitive total compensation packages.
  • Train and develop hiring managers in interviewing to attract qualified candidates.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage the new hire onboarding program for all MAPS organizations.
  • Collaborate with admin and production leaders for effective onboarding of new hires.
  • Oversee the quality and consistency of new employee onboarding curriculum.
  • Plan and coordinate instructional design and curriculum development with trainers.
  • Maintain oversight of training needs assessments and analyze data to identify training needs.
  • Implement professional development activities to enhance skills of trainers and buddies.
  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives across organizational boundaries.
  • Develop people to meet their career goals and the organization's goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communication, Marketing or other applicable fields highly preferred.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of Human Resources and/or Recruitment experience required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Power Point and Excel is required.
  • Strong technology skills and ability to effectively utilize online learning management systems (LMS) and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment with conflicting priorities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture/think strategically.
  • Ability to operate effectively in uncertain or unclear situations.
  • Possesses adaptability to understand different business cultures and customer segments.
  • Superior organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills; excellent follow-up and multi-tasking skills.
  • Outstanding judgment, discretion and understanding of the need for confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well independently or within a team.
  • Extremely perceptive and capable of relating to individuals at all levels.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
