About the position

The Talent Acquisition/Onboarding Specialist at Continuum of Care is responsible for sourcing, identifying, pre-screening, and hiring candidates for various roles within the organization. This role requires a blend of autonomy and teamwork, working under the supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources and the HR Department Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, with a minimum of two years of experience in human resources, recruitment, and onboarding. The position emphasizes compliance, confidentiality, and the promotion of the company's reputation as a desirable workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies including prescreening candidates for interviews.
  • Network with potential candidates through business contacts, association memberships, social media, and employees.
  • Manage agency relationships with higher education and external career development centers.
  • Create and publish job postings on various online job portals.
  • Work in partnership with managers to develop hiring standards for future employees.
  • Screen CVs and job applications to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
  • Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards.
  • Conduct prescreening interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools.
  • Onboard new employees to ensure full integration into the company.
  • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or Associate's degree with two years of experience in human resources management in onboarding and recruitment.
  • Knowledge of sourcing vacant positions on various social media platforms and professional job board websites.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems, preferably Paychex Flex.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and self-sufficiently with knowledge of employment law practices.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with employment and labor law (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in employee relations (1 year preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (1 year preferred).
  • Experience with ATS (1 year preferred).
