About the position

The Talent Acquisition Operational Excellence Manager at TD Bank is responsible for leading and managing a governance and control team, focusing on operational excellence within the North American Talent Acquisition teams. This role involves overseeing diverse functions, mitigating risks, implementing controls, and ensuring an integrated approach with other business governance areas. The manager will provide leadership, develop staff, and coordinate multiple initiatives to achieve business results while maintaining compliance and managing relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a governance and control team overseeing diverse functions.
  • Provide people management leadership by hiring, setting goals, and managing employee performance.
  • Present recommendations to senior management and executives.
  • Ensure an integrated approach with other business areas and enterprise control functions.
  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple initiatives and manage resource allocation.
  • Establish effective relationships with stakeholders, business sponsors, and executives.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to practitioners and business executives.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in governance, risk, and control functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of governance, risk, and control procedures, strategies, and tactics.
  • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations, and mitigation.
  • Skill in managing budgets and resource allocation.
  • Skill in mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a financial institution.
