About the position

The Talent Acquisition Project Manager at General Motors is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of Talent Acquisition initiatives within an agile project delivery environment. This role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and IT professionals to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for Talent Acquisition initiatives covering both technical and non-technical projects.
  • Lead project teams in the successful delivery of projects within scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
  • Produce and distribute project status reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Deliver projects in line with the established project methodology and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition leadership and other key stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables.
  • Communicate project updates and outcomes to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external partners to facilitate project success.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within Talent Acquisition and implement best practices.
  • Work in partnership with Talent Acquisition suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products and services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience delivering projects within enterprise-level organizations, preferably in Talent Acquisition/Recruiting.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working in an agile project delivery environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince 2, HRMP) is a plus.
  • Experience using and/or implementing project management software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Workday, Paradox, and other Talent Acquisition specific technologies is a plus.
