About the position

At ICW Group, we are seeking a motivated and results-driven Talent Acquisition Recruiter to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the complete lifecycle recruitment process, which includes candidate sourcing, assessment, onboarding, and maintaining best hiring practices. The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will play a crucial role in attracting and placing high-quality talent across the enterprise, ensuring that candidates have exceptional experiences that promote our brand and support Human Resources (HR) initiatives. Our mission is to create the best insurance experience possible, and this position is integral to achieving that goal. The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will participate in executing Talent Attraction strategies, coordinating the placement of ads on various platforms, including online job boards, internal postings, and school postings. This role will also involve recommending and participating in proactive recruitment strategies, such as college relations, job fairs, and military recruiting when necessary. Building and maintaining contacts within the industry is essential, as is participating in networking groups and community programs to enhance skill knowledge. The recruiter will assist in creating and executing social media strategies to secure pre-employment interest and loyalty to our organization. In addition to managing the candidate selection and onboarding process, the recruiter will source qualified candidates using effective means, including job boards like LinkedIn and Indeed, as well as professional associations and schools. Close collaboration with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners is necessary to determine staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment processes. The recruiter will maintain regular contact with potential future candidates, pre-screen and recommend candidates to hiring managers, and work with the Talent Coordinator to schedule interviews and arrange travel as needed. Closing candidates, negotiating salary and hiring terms, and preparing offer letters are also key responsibilities. The recruiter will participate in New Hire Orientations and engage in Team Member Process Management, working closely with the Sr HR Administrator for the Visa process for new employees. This role also supports HR and Recruiting projects as necessary, contributing to a collaborative and innovative work environment that values hard work and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the execution of Talent Attraction strategies.
  • Coordinates the placement of ads utilizing online job boards, internal job postings, and school postings.
  • Recommends and participates in proactive recruitment strategies, such as college relations, job fairs, and military recruiting as warranted.
  • Creates and maintains contacts within the industry.
  • Participates in networking groups and other business and community programs to increase skill knowledge.
  • Assists in the creation and execution of social media and relationship-building strategies to secure pre-employment interest and loyalty to our organization.
  • Places and maintains internal and external job postings for all positions including schools, professional organizations, and other sources in alignment with the Recruiting Plan.
  • Manages the candidate selection and onboarding process.
  • Sources qualified candidates for assigned positions using the most effective means including internal and external job boards such as LinkedIn, Indeed, professional associations, schools, or other target sources to minimize the use of agencies and provide high caliber candidates.
  • Works closely with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to determine staffing needs and timeliness of the recruitment process.
  • Maintains regular contact with possible future candidates.
  • Pre-screens and recommends candidates to hiring managers.
  • Works with Talent Coordinator to schedule interviews and arrange travel as needed.
  • Notifies leadership of any concerns.
  • Closes candidates and negotiates salary and hiring terms.
  • Prepares offer letter and secures acceptance.
  • Participates in New Hire Orientations as needed in partnership with L&D.
  • Engages in Team Member Process Management.
  • Works with Sr HR Administrator for the Visa process, for new employees.
  • Partners with talent coordinator on all aspects of temporary employee placement.
  • Supports HR and Recruiting projects as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required with a major or emphasis in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of related talent acquisition/recruiting experience required.
  • Working knowledge of professional HR recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment, corporate environment experience preferred.
  • Exposure and desire to engage in social networking strategies to engage potential talent.
  • Sourcing experience using Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, or other job boards, Boolean searches, networking groups, etc.
  • Creative thinker who can develop new ideas and build them into successful actions.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiating, multi-tasking, organization, and execution.
  • Current knowledge base of Recruiting best practices, California, federal, and local labor laws relative to staffing.
  • Sophisticated interpersonal skills that project a sense of optimism, 'can-do' spirit, and fun with the ability to adapt style depending on situation.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; demonstrated good judgment; solid project management skills; competent in the use of technology and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR), Certified Social Media Recruiter (CSMR) or related certifications preferred.
