About the position

The Talent Acquisition and Retention Specialist at Wellpoint Care Network is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle for Child and Family Well-being positions. This role focuses on attracting and retaining top talent, collaborating with hiring managers, and implementing effective recruitment strategies to fill positions efficiently. The specialist will also develop retention strategies and engage in onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Attract and recruit top talent by collaborating with hiring managers to understand role requirements.
  • Draft and edit job descriptions, post jobs in the ATS and on job boards, and source diverse candidates.
  • Fill job requisitions within 45 days, identifying trends and working with leaders to overcome obstacles.
  • Perform applicant screening activities to identify qualified candidates through phone or virtual meetings.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with hiring managers to provide technical support throughout the recruitment process.
  • Participate in interview panels and facilitate the job offer process, including extending verbal offers and drafting offer letters.
  • Develop retention strategies based on employee and leader feedback.
  • Build trust and positive relationships with job applicants, new hires, and existing employees.
  • Engage in onboarding activities, including facilitating new employee orientation.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or higher in Human Resources, Administrative Professional, Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience managing the recruitment cycle and hiring process.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and online recruiting platforms.
  • Ability to recruit diverse staffing pools, including passive candidates and college graduates.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other relevant software.

Nice-to-haves

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
  • Experience in legal drafting and editing.
