About the position

As a Talent Acquisition Scout, you will play a pivotal role in the recruitment process by sourcing and attracting top talent to join the Mystic Lake Casino & Hotel and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC). This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Talent Acquisition team in recruiting and sourcing new candidate leads through strategic and diverse candidate sourcing. You will utilize your skills to find unique ways to draw in new talent through various programs and resources, ensuring a superior candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. In this role, you will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support external talent pipelining and bench strength. You will be expected to understand the strategic talent needs of the organization, possess detailed geographic, market, and functional expertise, and build relationships with sourcing leads. Your efforts will directly influence the improvement and maintenance of a superior candidate experience, as you advocate for candidates during the initial talent acquisition phase. Additionally, you will support initiatives and projects aimed at process improvement, innovative solutions, and diversity recruiting strategies. Responsibilities

  • Searches traditional job boards and ATS, and identifies new ways to search for talent within a dedicated geographical and/or functional focus.
  • Generates sourcing leads through associations, groups, schools, etc., to ensure a diverse slate of candidates for all levels throughout the organization.
  • In partnership with TA and HR leaders, develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with the overall TA strategy.
  • Monitor related analytics such as conversion rates, passive candidate engagement, and number of candidates sourced.
  • Build and maintain a talent pool for anticipated/future hiring needs.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to talent acquisition, HR, and Enterprise partners while utilizing innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Stay current on employment market and sourcing trends for a dedicated geography, demographics, and/or function.
  • Actively participate in social networking and serve as a SME to the TA team on effective sourcing and measurement of social networking channels.
  • Research and recommend new sourcing tools; lead implementation and integration of tools into the department.
  • Support Talent Acquisition Partners (TAP) in identifying top talent and meeting critical time-sensitive deadlines.

Requirements

  • 6 years of professional experience in a talent/recruitment function or 3+ years of sourcing experience in a corporate recruiting function, professional search, or agency staffing environment.
  • Experience in executive/professional pipeline development, cold calling sourcing, and sourcing for hard-to-fill/high-volume roles.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and strategies, candidate and/or company marketing/branding, and social networking.
  • Experience in employment market research and analysis and implementation of new sourcing tools and methods.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive internet research experience.
  • Technical experience with MS Office, Internet tools, ATS, HRIS, and systems.
  • Strong time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities while demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
