About the position

The role of the Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist is pivotal in driving the full spectrum of recruiting efforts to meet the consulting staff needs for the New Jersey office. This position collaborates closely with the Recruiting Partner, Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, and recruiting directors at BCG core schools, as well as regional recruiting teams, to lead and execute the annual recruiting pipeline for Consultants and Associates. The Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist will work alongside office Partners, RDs, and the Talent Acquisition team to develop and implement the overall recruiting strategy for the office, while managing the day-to-day operations of the Talent Acquisition department. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist will assess the recruiting organizational structure and processes, suggesting and implementing necessary changes to ensure that the staffing needs are met effectively. The position reports directly to the office Talent Acquisition Senior Manager and requires close collaboration with the Recruiting Partner, Recruiting Directors, and regional Talent Acquisition leadership. Key responsibilities include supporting the development of the office recruiting strategy, overseeing office-specific recruiting efforts, and managing the recruiting commitments process. This includes candidate pipeline development, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and converting candidates from various channels, as well as decision-round interviewing and offeree conversion. The Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist will also be responsible for driving BCG-wide recruiting efforts at office-managed schools and programs, which involves creating annual plans, developing budgets, and managing candidate marketing and screening processes. Additionally, the role includes creating and managing the office recruiting budget, developing and maintaining a recruiting calendar, and utilizing the recruiting database for correspondence and reporting. The Specialist will act as the main contact for candidates, responding to inquiries and building relationships with top candidates, while also coordinating office-specific events and liaising with HR for onboarding new hires. Continuous improvement efforts in office recruiting and collaboration with other offices to enhance recruiting initiatives are also key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the full spectrum of recruiting efforts for the New Jersey office.
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting Partner, Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, and recruiting directors at BCG core schools.
  • Lead and execute the annual recruiting pipeline for Consultants and Associates.
  • Develop and implement the overall recruiting strategy for the office.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Talent Acquisition department.

  • Ensure effective communication with staff around recruiting events.
  • Manage summer internship programs and coordinate orientation and training.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in office recruiting.
  • Collaborate with other offices to improve recruiting efforts.
  • Manage short lead time recruiting efforts in coordination with the regional team.
  • Build networks and liaise with peers in other offices and regional recruiting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-4 years of previous recruiting, HR, or relevant experience required.
  • Prior professional services recruiting experience is a plus.
  • Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential.
  • Flexibility and some travel required, particularly around peak recruiting season and planning weeks.
