About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist, Aircraft Maintenance is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the recruitment and selection processes for aircraft maintenance technicians. This position is essential in ensuring that all candidates not only possess the necessary technical skills but also align with our company culture. The Specialist will be a self-starter and a dynamic individual, comfortable executing recruitment strategies that attract top talent in the aviation industry. Reporting directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition, this role is based at our Global Headquarters in Richmond Heights, Ohio. In this role, the Specialist will partner with Global Maintenance leaders to develop talent acquisition plans that align with staffing levels and aircraft delivery schedules. The responsibilities include executing various recruitment and sourcing activities, such as direct sourcing, attending job fairs, networking within trade and industry circles, and utilizing social media and internet postings to attract candidates. The Specialist will manage the entire talent acquisition process, from initial sourcing and screening to the acceptance of job offers for all maintenance technician positions. Additionally, the Specialist will coordinate and attend recruitment events, prescreen candidates for program and company fit, and schedule interviews with Maintenance leaders and General Managers. They will also be responsible for entering and tracking candidate correspondence in our applicant tracking system, ClearCompany, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Establishing and maintaining recruitment metrics will be a key part of this role, as will assisting with recruitment across various company functions as directed by the Director of Talent Acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Global Maintenance leaders on talent acquisition plans based on staffing levels and aircraft delivery schedules.
  • Execute recruitment and sourcing activities, including direct sourcing, job fairs, schools, trade and industry networking, advertisements, internet posting, social media, and employee referrals.
  • Manage talent acquisition efforts from initial sourcing, screening, and testing to offer acceptance for all maintenance technician positions.
  • Coordinate, plan, and attend recruitment events, socials, expos, and career fairs as needed.
  • Prescreen all potential candidates for program and company fit, salary expectations, and eligibility, and present successful candidates to Maintenance leaders for review.
  • Schedule panel interviews with appropriate Maintenance leaders and/or General Managers, coordinate travel arrangements, conduct interviews, and evaluate applicants.
  • Coordinate technical interview aspects with appropriate General Manager and/or Chief Inspector.
  • Enter, track, and update all candidate correspondence in the applicant tracking system, ClearCompany, to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Establish and maintain recruitment metrics including time to fill, offers accepted, resumes screened, phone screens completed, and interviews completed.
  • Assist with recruitment across several company functions as dictated by the Director, Talent Acquisition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience recruiting Aircraft Maintenance Technicians in the aviation industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or a similar discipline; 3-5 years of experience in recruitment, preferably with an aviation background, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience executing recruitment strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry-specific aircraft, including aircraft recognition, performance, and specifications.
  • Proven track record for sourcing and placing candidates in a technical field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably ClearCompany.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms as it relates to recruitment and job promotion.
  • Aviation-specific knowledge related to hiring standards and the ability to communicate with industry-specific jargon.
