As an Executive Recruiter, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization by researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies. Your primary goal will be to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent, particularly for senior-level and hard-to-fill positions. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand the ideal candidate's soft skills and technical requirements, ensuring that our recruitment efforts align with the strategic and financial objectives of the company. In this role, you will be responsible for all phases of the recruitment process, from drafting detailed job descriptions to designing targeted research strategies for sourcing passive applicants. You will create a recruiting marketing plan in collaboration with the marketing team, leveraging social media platforms to promote our company culture and attract top talent. Your thorough understanding of the company’s operations, competitors, and departmental roles will be crucial in identifying and implementing efficient recruiting methods tailored to the organization's needs. You will also screen applications, assess candidates for qualification matches and cultural fit, and participate in first-round interviews using behavioral interview techniques. Your responsibilities will extend to scheduling interviews, preparing interview questions, and collaborating with hiring managers during the offer process to recommend salary ranges and other pertinent details. Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations will be a key aspect of your role, as will attending college job fairs and networking events to enhance our recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Design a targeted research strategy to source passive applicants.
  • Create a recruiting marketing plan and work with the marketing team to leverage social media platforms to promote company culture and attract top talent.
  • Has a thorough understanding of what the company does, who our competitors are, and what each department's role is.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the organization's needs.
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates, assessing candidates to ensure qualification match, cultural fit, and compatibility.
  • Participates in first-round interviews to utilize behavioral interview techniques and market the company and position to the candidate.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Research and develop recruiting leads.
  • Assists with facilitating background checks and in-basket exercises, if applicable.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Ability to travel to job fairs, networking events, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A genuine excitement for recruiting, strategy, and research.
  • Proven working experience in recruiting.
  • Deep understanding of recruitment processes.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting software, and candidate databases.
  • Strong knowledge of candidate selection methods.
  • Previous experience with candidate sourcing tools and methods.
  • Excellent knowledge of the area of expertise (market status, trends, best practices).
  • Client focus along with relationship-building skills.
  • Business acumen and market insight.
  • Effective negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Integrity and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of personal computer and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) at an intermediate or higher level.
  • Ability to quickly learn and retain systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Ability and experience in mining online databases.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and the management both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to prioritize work efficiently and accurately with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and complete projects.
  • Ability to supervise small groups of people.
  • Must have a high degree of integrity and commitment to treat people reasonably and with respect.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
  • Payroll experience.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential.
