About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Holland America Line is responsible for supporting the recruitment efforts for ship positions within the Guest Experience and Product Development team. This role involves ensuring that qualified candidates are identified, screened, and hired in alignment with the company's diversity and inclusion goals. The specialist will work closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to meet recruitment targets and facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Identify qualified applicants and conduct screening interviews.
  • Administer tests and evaluate applicant qualifications based on HAL/SBN hiring matrix process flow.
  • Extend job offers to candidates, explaining job descriptions, terms of assignment, pay rate, and benefits.
  • Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and open positions on the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Deliver effective recruiting activities aligned with HAL/SBN recruitment strategy.
  • Promote key roles based on competencies and skills in global source markets.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders regarding candidate journey and Talent Acquisition processes.
  • Guide applicants through the onboarding journey while ensuring travel readiness is within established KPIs.
  • Maintain close relationships with hiring managers and fleet managers.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Senior Manager Talent Acquisition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience working in Talent Acquisition.
  • Multi-lingual ability is a plus.
  • Seagoing experience preferred or experience in large International 5* Hotel operations or similar hospitality organizations.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of open positions and screen candidates efficiently.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong business partner relationships.
  • Genuine interest in working with all levels of applicants.
  • Flexibility, decisiveness, and quick thinking.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in large International 5* Hotel operations or similar hospitality organizations.
