About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in recruiting qualified applicants for various departments within the Southeast Gia Health System. This position involves coordinating in-house recruitment efforts, representing the health system at recruitment events, and ensuring a smooth hiring process for candidates. The specialist will work closely with department managers to identify staffing needs and assist in filling difficult positions, all while promoting the organization's culture of service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, organizing, and recommending recruiting functions, representing the Health System at approved recruiting events.
• Screen and refer qualified applicants to appropriate department managers for interviews.
• Extend offers of employment to qualified applicants and ensure compensation offers are equitable and in accordance with Health System policies and practices.
• Ensure all steps of the pre-selection screening process are completed and documented.
• Identify difficult-to-fill positions and make recommendations such as salary reviews, sign-on bonuses, and increased advertising.
• Effectively communicate with candidates/new hires about the team member benefits package and information relating to orientation.
• Attend job fairs, career days, and recruitment events for the health system.
• Establish relationships with area colleges and universities offering healthcare programs and visit/recruit as needed to promote employment opportunities.
• Provide defined monthly reports to the Manager regarding employment activity.
• Perform all other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare/Business preferred.
• Four years of recruiting or human resources experience required, preferably in healthcare.
• Valid Georgia Driver's License without any driving restrictions required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with various personalities and experience working with the public.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
