About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the hiring efforts for hourly talent within assigned client groups at MGM Resorts International. This position is responsible for delivering the "Right People for the Right Jobs at the Right Time" by conducting candidate sourcing and screening, and recommending candidates to hiring teams. The TA Specialist ensures that the most qualified applicants are selected for candidacy on open roles and pipeline positions, executing the company's recruitment strategy designed to maintain a diverse applicant pool rich in experience and skill. This is a full cycle recruiting role that aligns with the company's core service standards, brand attributes, and sustainability initiatives. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will conduct information-gathering calls with assigned hiring managers for each new job requisition, building relationships with business leaders to gain insights into operations and better understand the functions of all positions within each department. The Specialist will ensure that job postings are succinct, accurate, and posted across all appropriate sourcing channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Indeed, local job boards, and the MGM career site. The TA Specialist will execute a sourcing strategy for each open job requisition to recruit quality and diverse external candidates, leveraging technology tools used by the company to build a talent pipeline for assigned roles. They will screen interested applicants by creating a skills-based and weighted questionnaire specific to each open job requisition to determine relevant skills and experience. After screening, the Specialist will forward candidates for Hiring Manager review and assist hiring managers with adherence to the hiring process, addressing any questions they may have. Regular meetings with client teams will be held in-person to stay updated on upcoming hiring needs, driving a more proactive solution to hiring. The Specialist will also review WORKDAY and BI dashboards to determine applicant status in real-time, ensuring compliance with hiring policies and reducing candidate turnover. Participation in regular hiring events is expected to deliver qualified candidates for the business while professionally representing MGM Resorts International.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of prior relevant experience involving candidate interviewing, evaluation, and placement.
