About the position

Rotolo Consultants, Inc. (RCI) is seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. As a key member of our HR group, you will collaborate closely with department managers to identify current and future hiring needs, ensuring that we attract, hire, and retain the best talent in the industry. This role is essential in building a strong talent pipeline that supports our growth as one of North America's fastest-growing landscaping companies. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an overall recruiting strategy that aligns with our company culture and values. You will develop and update job descriptions and specifications, prepare recruitment materials, and post job openings on various platforms, including job boards, newspapers, and colleges. Your ability to source and recruit candidates through databases, social media, and employee referrals will be crucial in identifying top talent. You will screen resumes and job applications, conduct interviews using reliable recruiting and selection tools, and assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Onboarding new employees will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring they are fully integrated into our company. Additionally, you will monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices, provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports, and act as a point of contact for candidates throughout the selection process. Attending career fairs and promoting our company culture will also be key aspects of your role.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards, newspapers, and colleges
  • Source and recruit candidates using databases and social media
  • Screen candidates' resumes and job applications
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools
  • Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
  • Onboard new employees to ensure full integration
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
  • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the team
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Prepare HR documents, such as employment contracts and new hire guides
  • Create reports for internal use by management and/or the HR department
  • Attend career fairs hosted by local resources and colleges
  • Promote the Company's culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or a related field or related experience
  • Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either in-house or staffing agency)
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews
  • Hands-on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference checks, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
