About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at MSC Industrial Supply Co. is responsible for enhancing the company's talent acquisition processes through training, strategy development, and process improvement. This role involves managing internal career movements, collaborating with hiring managers, and optimizing the recruiting module in SuccessFactors. The specialist will also focus on building a strong candidate pipeline and promoting MSC's brand to attract top talent.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the internal career movement process.
  • Partners with the Talent Acquisition RPO/Operations team to align workflows and processes between Talent Acquisition Partners & Talent Acquisition Coordinators.
  • Develops, communicates, and maintains streamlined TA processes to improve time to hire and reduce costs.
  • Delivers interview skills training for Hiring Managers to ensure hiring consistency and eliminate unconscious bias.
  • Develops an interview panel protocol and training program to optimize the panel interview process.
  • Leads and/or participates in lean events related to recruiting and onboarding processes.
  • Expands network through user groups, blogs, professional networking events, virtual career fairs, etc.
  • Enhances MSC's brand to candidates through engaging job postings, creative marketing, and social media messaging.
  • Develops a pipeline for current and future hiring needs in support of Key Business Initiatives and critical talent segments.
  • Tracks and logs outreach efforts for diversity hiring programs.
  • Provides ongoing feedback on the recruitment marketplace.
  • Attends meetings with TA Partners and hiring managers to understand required talent pools and hiring objectives.
  • Manages ad-hoc strategic projects (diversity/military recruiting, special recruitment events, etc.).
  • Manages and serves as the SME for the Recruiting modules in SuccessFactors (SF) to ensure an optimized user experience for all stakeholders.
  • Handles SuccessFactors quarterly releases, testing, and day-to-day troubleshooting or escalation to TA Operations.
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Talent Acquisition experience required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a dedicated sourcing/talent research role, preferably in a staffing agency environment.
  • Experience creating and delivering training required.
  • Experience identifying and delivering process improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of talent acquisition/recruiting strategies and overall HR practices required.
  • Ability to identify and deliver continual improvement opportunities and TA solutions.
  • Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills required.
  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Experience with ATS or CRM systems required.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn and other social media venues or internet portals required.
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for research, data, and a creative approach to sourcing.
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple searches.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • SuccessFactors experience in Recruiting, Recruiting Marketing & Onboarding preferred.
