About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for attracting, identifying, evaluating, and hiring high-skilled and diverse talent. This position requires a proactive approach to recruitment, partnering closely with Hiring Managers, candidates, and other stakeholders to ensure that hiring goals are well defined and achieved. The TAS will utilize various recruitment strategies and platforms to attract top talent to the company, ensuring that the recruitment process is efficient and effective. In this role, the TAS will work collaboratively with hiring managers to gain a deep understanding of role requirements and their impact on broader business goals. This understanding will guide the recruitment process, allowing the TAS to attract, source, and screen both active and passive candidates using creative techniques such as job boards, social networking, and direct sourcing. The TAS is expected to meet or exceed weekly recruiting metrics related to phone screens, interviews, and offers consistently. A key responsibility of the TAS is to identify and screen candidates for role fit and cultural alignment, providing recommendations for interviewing and hiring. The TAS will also proactively seek diverse candidate pools and support the company's diversity efforts. By applying a data-driven recruiting methodology, the TAS will help influence timely and effective hiring decisions while maintaining data integrity across all recruiting tools. Additionally, the TAS will utilize internal reporting tools to track the recruiting funnel and sourcing activities, ensuring transparency and accountability in the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and their impact on business goals.
  • Attract, source, and screen active and passive talent using various creative techniques.
  • Meet or exceed weekly recruiting metrics around phone screens, interviews, and offers.
  • Identify and screen candidates for role fit and culture add, providing recommendations for interviewing and hiring.
  • Proactively seek diverse candidate pools and support diversity efforts.
  • Apply data-driven recruiting methodology to influence hiring decisions while maintaining data integrity.
  • Use internal reporting tools to track recruiting funnel and sourcing activities.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant recruiting experience or talent sourcing experience in an agency or corporate environment.
  • High school diploma and 4 years of relevant recruiting or talent sourcing experience in an agency or corporate environment.
  • Experience in sourcing or recruiting for roles within the Trades (e.g., HVAC, Low Voltage Electricians, Installation Technicians, Repair and Maintenance).
  • Experience in high-volume recruiting or metrics-focused environment.
  • Knowledge and experience using Boolean search strings.
