About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist I is responsible for recruiting and selecting top talent to meet Jackson's diverse hiring needs. This role involves providing high-level client service to stakeholders, identifying and attracting candidates for entry and mid-level positions, and promoting Jackson's reputation as a leading employer.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full-life cycle recruiting responsibilities including sourcing, screening, interviewing, evaluating, and hiring candidates for entry and mid-level positions.
  • Manage details in the recruiting process to ensure a positive experience for candidates and clients, including scheduling interviews and providing recruitment materials.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to identify business needs and position requirements, providing effective recruitment strategies based on job requirements.
  • Utilize appropriate sourcing tools and techniques to meet recruitment needs, such as social media networks, advertising, and recruiting events.
  • Develop a pipeline of talent for frequently filled, ongoing openings.
  • Screen and interview candidates to evaluate pay requirements, skills, experience, and fit within the company.
  • Evaluate candidate qualifications against open position requirements to determine a match.
  • Provide feedback to hiring managers based on evaluation criteria and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Communicate company benefits and employment opportunities to candidates during the recruiting process.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Consultants and management to ensure effective communication and coordination across business functions.
  • Prepare job postings in alignment with HR partners for online recruitment sites.
  • Ensure proactive communication with key stakeholders, sharing updates, challenges, and opportunities while providing recommendations and solutions.
  • Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and education required.
  • 1+ years of recruiting experience required.
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle recruiting process and strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills.
  • Excellent client service orientation and ability to provide high-level client-focused support.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and consulting skills.
  • Ability to identify and utilize a wide range of sourcing techniques.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to generate a high volume of qualified candidates.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to proactively identify hiring solutions for business needs.
  • Solid organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting high volume hiring preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Workday, Taleo) preferred.
  • University/college recruiting experience preferred.
