About the position

ZACHRY is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist I to join our Workforce Planning and Staffing Team. The primary functions of this position are to support the recruiting team by proactively sourcing talent, building relationships, and expediting the onboarding process. This role will involve collaborating with Talent Acquisition Recruiters and Coordinators to assist in developing strategies that support the team's current and upcoming needs. The Specialist will be responsible for customer service, including assisting walk-in customers and helping job seekers complete applications. Additionally, the Specialist will review employment requisitions and perform various administrative duties such as data entry, answering phones, taking messages, and filing. The Talent Acquisition Specialist I will develop detailed job descriptions, screening questions, and tool lists specific to positions based on the scope of work to be performed. They will source candidates from multiple internal and external pools and screen candidates to ensure they meet the qualifications for the positions to be filled. Maintaining candidate pools by departments and geographic regions is also a key responsibility. The Specialist will recruit and assist hiring managers with offers of employment to qualified candidates in a fast-paced environment, schedule individuals for processing and orientation, and update the Applicant Tracking System in real-time with candidate information and interactions. Attendance at job fairs and other industry events is expected, along with other duties as assigned. This entry-level position typically focuses on craft worker sourcing and requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, flexibility to deal with changing priorities, and the ability to multitask under time constraints. Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, are essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with three years of customer service or HR administrative experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Knowledge of employment laws/compliance.
  • Experience in Administration, Customer Service, Human Resources, Industrial Construction, and/or Nuclear Industries.
