About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist I at NRI, Inc. is responsible for supporting the recruitment and staffing strategies for various departments, focusing on attracting a diverse and qualified candidate pool. This role emphasizes customer service, effective communication, and adherence to compliance guidelines in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level customer service to job applicants regarding employment opportunities and the application process.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel, excluding managerial levels and above.
  • Execute recruitment plans by aggressively sourcing candidates, managing the selection process, and filling staffing needs.
  • Respond to inquiries from candidates and departments regarding recruitment status and personnel procedures.
  • Facilitate the interview process, including scheduling interviews and serving on the interview panel.
  • Conduct criminal history, sex offender, and driving record checks while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Schedule and track new hires for post-offer physicals and drug tests, answering routine questions from new hires.
  • Prepare and present offers to successful candidates and manage the flow of necessary paperwork.
  • Prepare and send out unsuccessful letters to candidates.
  • Input, update, retrieve, and track applicant data in PeopleSoft.
  • Ensure recruitment documents are proofread and error-free, safeguarding confidentiality.
  • Assist in developing strategies to recruit, hire, and retain a superior workforce.
  • Help develop recruiting materials and brochures.
  • Conduct outreach or field recruitment duties, including participation in on-site interviews and group presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines.
  • Assist with new employee orientation and organizational training and development efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with candidates and departments.
  • Experience in recruitment processes and understanding of staffing strategies.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, preferably PeopleSoft.
  • Knowledge of Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
