About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist I at General Dynamics - Ordnance and Tactical Systems is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, screening, and interviewing candidates for various job levels within the organization. This role is crucial in building and maintaining a quality talent pipeline to meet current and future workforce needs, supporting the mission of the warfighter by delivering top talent for the company’s operations.

Responsibilities

• Strategically and proactively source passive and active candidates to build and maintain a quality talent pipeline.
• Understand external labor market conditions.
• Leverage effective, economical, and appropriate sources/channels and methods for recruitment.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates, recruitment agencies, and associations.
• Plan and coordinate participation in career fairs to generate a source of qualified candidates.
• Review resumes and contact candidates to ascertain fit and interest, referring to hiring managers as appropriate.
• Extend offers and negotiate compensation with candidates.
• Participate in onboarding and facilitate new employee orientation as needed.
• Provide support in planning and strategizing future workforce needs.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills and time management skills
• Negotiation skills and candidate screening expertise
• Knowledge of employment law and full-cycle recruiting processes
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and talent assessment.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred
