About the position

Amtrust Financial Services, a fast-growing commercial insurance company, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist II to join our team. This role is crucial as it involves providing proactive recruitment support for our service offices across the United States. The successful candidate will engage in hands-on full life cycle recruitment for internal client groups that have high volume recruitment needs. This includes sourcing, assessing, and recruiting candidates for openings at all levels within the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist II will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative and cost-effective recruiting strategies tailored to various positions. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with other members of the recruiting team on corporate-wide recruitment projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall hiring goals. The responsibilities of this position encompass full-cycle recruitment, which includes job description development, job posting, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, performing reference checks, and negotiating offers. The specialist will build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research, sourcing, and ongoing relationship management. Close collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Manager and the team is essential to develop effective recruiting strategies aimed at identifying top talent. The specialist will also participate in special projects and recruiting initiatives, which may include assessing best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging internal talent sources, and identifying top performers for senior-level vacancies. Establishing strong partnerships with hiring teams is vital to quickly assess business needs, determine candidate profiles, and launch thorough hiring strategies. The specialist will conduct interviews within the framework of the position specifications and must possess a strong ability to screen, interview, and prepare an ideal candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline. Staying current with market trends and demands is also a key aspect of this role, along with performing other functionally related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle recruitment including job description development, job posting, sourcing, interviewing, reference checks, and offer negotiation.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research, sourcing, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager and team to develop recruiting strategies to identify top talent.
  • Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques and leveraging internal sources of talent.
  • Establish strong partnerships with hiring teams to assess business needs and determine candidate profiles.
  • Conduct interviews within the framework of the position specification.
  • Screen, interview, and prepare an ideal candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.
  • Keep current with market trends and demands.
  • Perform other functionally related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years full cycle recruiting experience in corporate or agency environment.
  • Proficiency using ATS systems and meeting goals in a metric driven environment.
  • Prior experience working in global information, insurance/financial services.
  • Passionate about providing exceptional customer service to internal and external partners and clients.
  • Proven aptitude to execute in a changing professional environment.
  • Wide range of experience on current corporate recruiting policies, practices, and industry trends.
  • Strong knowledge of basic employment law, OFCCP guidelines, and HR practices.
  • Experienced in behavioral based interviewing, pre-employment testing, and other innovative selection methods.
  • Ability to assess staffing needs and develop creative and effective recruiting strategies.
  • Proven aptitude in assessing intangible aspects of candidates accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work with all levels of management.

Nice-to-haves
