About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist II plays a crucial role in developing innovative and aggressive methods to source, evaluate, and deliver a diverse pool of qualified candidates across multiple job functions, career levels, and locations to support all school operations organization-wide. This position is responsible for cultivating and fostering relationships with recruiting partners, hiring managers, and various stakeholders to meet both immediate short-term talent needs and strategic long-term projects. The role requires executing the full-cycle recruitment process, which includes initial assessments, interviews, and negotiating job offers. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also facilitate the placement of substitutes across all school buildings and support onboarding processes for day-to-day substitutes. Additionally, the specialist will assist with the Residency Program's sourcing and selection processes and drive the diversity recruitment strategy to ensure the staff reflects the student population, thereby enhancing student learning. Key responsibilities include sourcing candidates through traditional and non-traditional methods, utilizing various job boards and social media platforms, and leveraging tools like PA-Educator.net and LinkedIn to assess labor market supply and demand. The specialist will hold strategic consultation meetings with recruiters and hiring managers to understand the responsibilities and qualifications for open positions, as well as the challenges in identifying suitable candidates. They will develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates, particularly in diversity arenas, and perform various recognized sourcing techniques such as resume mining and complex internet searches. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation on all candidates and recruiting activities, conducting market research to stay informed about talent acquisition trends, and making recommendations for continuous process improvements. The Talent Acquisition Specialist II serves as the initial point of contact for external candidates, ensuring a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Execute the full-cycle recruitment process including assessments, interviews, and job offer negotiations.
  • Facilitate the placement of substitutes across all school buildings by collaborating with Principals.
  • Utilize the RedRover Substitute Management system for vacancy notifications and reporting.
  • Support onboarding processes for day-to-day substitutes and assist with the Residency Program's sourcing and selection.
  • Drive the diversity recruitment strategy to ensure staff reflects the student population.
  • Hold strategic meetings with recruiters and hiring managers to understand open position requirements and challenges.
  • Leverage tools like PA-Educator.net and LinkedIn for labor market assessments and creative sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts for sourcing qualified candidates, especially in diversity.
  • Perform sourcing techniques such as resume mining, internet searches, and social networking.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on candidates and recruiting activities.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about talent acquisition trends and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, or Candidate Sourcing.
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Prior experience in an education talent sourcing role is preferred.
  • Experience with talent acquisition tools such as UKG, LinkedIn Recruiter, and PA-Educator.net is highly preferred.
  • Superior sales and presentation skills with a high energy level and creativity.
  • Demonstrated capabilities for successfully sourcing diverse candidates.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
  • Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Broad knowledge of Employment Laws and HR Policies.
  • Strong team-building skills and ability to work independently with professionalism.
