About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at American Structurepoint is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting, collaborating with management to effectively recruit, screen, and recommend high-performing candidates. This role also involves assisting the HR team with various HR-related projects and ensuring compliance with hiring regulations. The position is based onsite in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is integral to enhancing the quality of life in the communities served by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Screen resumes, interview candidates, administer assessments, and make recommendations for hire or rejection.
  • Deliver employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt staff openings.
  • Manage the internal candidate interview process.
  • Communicate and coordinate with area employment agencies and other outside vendors as needed.
  • Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to ensure timely feedback and consistent communication during the interview process.
  • Clarify important employment information during the delivery of employment offers.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations throughout the hiring process.
  • Assist with employee referral processes, website inquiries, and other employment opportunity-related submissions.
  • Attend and participate in career fairs and assist with college networking events.
  • Submit payroll information for incoming new hires to internal parties.
  • Report and track hire information in spreadsheets/systems.
  • Assist with general HR questions/issues from staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Marketing/Public Relations, or related field is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of recruiting experience; experience in a STEM environment is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Effective multi-tasking and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
