About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Lincoln WarHorse Casino is a pivotal role responsible for the recruitment and sourcing of applicants, as well as assisting the Human Resources Manager with various initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining top talent. This position requires a strong commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming, LLC, ensuring that all departmental performance metrics are met with accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness. The specialist will manage multiple priorities simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining positive and ethical relations with team members, guests, and visitors at all times. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee the management of requisitions and applicant statuses through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). They will consistently monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment resources and programs, utilizing metrics and stakeholder feedback to inform their strategies. The specialist will facilitate both panel and individual interviews, conduct training sessions for new leaders on the ATS, and process transfers and promotions in coordination with payroll and benefits. The position also involves strategic sourcing and screening of applicants across various departments, partnering with hiring managers for seasonal hiring needs, and posting job openings in the ATS. The specialist will conduct pre-screen interviews, extend offers of employment, and assist employees with job searches due to departmental restructures. Additionally, they will create and implement recruiting plans for hard-to-fill positions and develop strong candidate pools for roles with high turnover rates. Participation in job fairs and local recruiting events is also a key responsibility, often requiring attendance outside of normal business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and source applicants for various positions within the organization.
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager with initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage requisitions and applicant statuses through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment resources and programs using metrics and stakeholder feedback.
  • Facilitate panel and individual interviews as required.
  • Conduct training sessions for new leaders on the use of the ATS.
  • Process transfers and promotions in the ATS and coordinate with payroll and benefits for necessary changes.
  • Strategically source and screen applicants for assigned departments.
  • Partner with hiring managers for seasonal hiring and openings/closures of seasonal outlets.
  • Post and close job openings in the ATS.
  • Conduct pre-screen interviews and schedule interviews for referrals and hiring managers.
  • Utilize various recruitment methods to obtain qualified candidates for current openings.
  • Meet or exceed established hiring goals.
  • Create and implement recruiting plans for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Develop and maintain strong candidate pools for high turnover positions.
  • Attend and host job fairs and local recruiting events, often after normal business hours.
  • Extend offers of employment to candidates.
  • Assist employees with job searches due to department restructures or position eliminations.

Requirements

  • Must be 19 years or older.
  • Associate degree or above in a related field; or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Three years of recruitment experience, preferably in the gaming or hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; HCMS, and ATS (Ceridan and iCIMS preferred).
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of company internal controls and Policies and Procedures.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws governing recruitment and human resources.

Nice-to-haves
