As the Talent Acquisition Specialist - Military & College Recruitment at Clean Harbors, you will play a pivotal role in driving all aspects of the recruitment process specifically tailored for military talent and college students. This position encompasses a comprehensive approach from sourcing and engaging candidates to facilitating their onboarding. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure a seamless and positive experience for candidates transitioning from military service to civilian employment, as well as for college students entering the workforce. Your efforts will contribute significantly to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace by attracting candidates from varied backgrounds. In your role, you will engage with transition assistance offices and veteran service organizations, actively participating in military job fairs and workshops to promote the opportunities available at Clean Harbors. You will also collaborate with military installations and transition assistance offices to enhance Clean Harbors' participation in the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge program, which aids service members in their transition to civilian careers. For college recruitment, you will build and maintain relationships with career services offices, student organizations, and faculty members to effectively promote Clean Harbors' job opportunities. Representing the company at college career fairs, information sessions, and networking events will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that you attract top talent from academic institutions. Your role will also involve managing the recruitment process, which includes reviewing resumes, conducting screenings, and coordinating interviews with hiring managers. You will ensure a positive interview experience by coordinating schedules and maintaining clear communication with both candidates and hiring managers. Extending job offers and facilitating the acceptance process will be part of your duties, along with collaborating internally to ensure smooth onboarding and supporting pre-employment processes. Additionally, you will maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and track recruitment metrics to provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
