About the position

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist - Military & College Recruitment, you will play a pivotal role in driving all aspects of the recruitment process specifically tailored for military talent and college students. This position encompasses a comprehensive approach from sourcing and engagement to onboarding, ensuring that candidates transitioning from military service to civilian employment and college students entering the workforce have a seamless and positive experience. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate this process, making sure that every candidate feels valued and supported throughout their journey. Your responsibilities will include engaging with transition assistance offices and veteran service organizations, actively participating in military job fairs and workshops to promote the opportunities available at Clean Harbors. You will also collaborate with military installations and transition assistance offices to enhance Clean Harbors' participation in the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge program, which is designed to help service members transition into civilian careers. On the college recruitment front, you will build and maintain relationships with career services offices, student organizations, and faculty members to promote Clean Harbors' job opportunities. Representing the company at college career fairs, information sessions, and networking events will be a key part of your role, allowing you to connect with potential candidates and showcase the benefits of working with Clean Harbors. In managing the recruitment process, you will review resumes, conduct screenings, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Ensuring a positive interview experience for candidates is crucial, and you will be responsible for coordinating interview schedules and maintaining communication with both candidates and hiring managers. Once candidates are selected, you will extend job offers and facilitate the acceptance process, collaborating internally to ensure a smooth onboarding experience that supports pre-employment processes and integration into the company. Additionally, you will maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and track recruitment metrics to provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Previous experience in military and college recruiting or related fields
  • Understanding of military culture, transition programs, and college recruiting strategies
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ATS
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
