About the position

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist - Military & College Recruitment, you will drive all aspects of the recruitment process for military talent and college students, from sourcing and engagement to onboarding. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for candidates transitioning from military service to civilian employment and for college students entering the workforce. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate this process effectively. Your responsibilities will include engaging with transition assistance offices and veteran service organizations, participating in military job fairs and workshops to promote Clean Harbors' opportunities. You will also collaborate with military installations and transition assistance offices to promote Clean Harbors' participation in the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge program. For college recruitment, you will build relationships with career services offices, student organizations, and faculty members to promote Clean Harbors' opportunities, representing the company at college career fairs, information sessions, and networking events. In addition to recruitment, you will manage the recruitment process by reviewing resumes, conducting screenings, and coordinating interviews with hiring managers. You will ensure a positive interview experience by coordinating schedules and communicating effectively with candidates and hiring managers. Extending job offers and facilitating the acceptance process will also be part of your role, along with collaborating internally for smooth onboarding and supporting pre-employment processes and integration. Maintaining accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and tracking recruitment metrics for data-driven recommendations will be essential to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Previous experience in military and college recruiting or related fields.
  • Understanding of military culture, transition programs, and college recruiting strategies.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ATS.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
