About the position

Lenovo is seeking a recent college graduate to join our team in Chicago, Illinois, as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This role is pivotal in managing a variety of recruiting initiatives and acting as a client-facing recruiter for assigned roles based in North America. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will serve as the key focal point for Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners, particularly during recruitment ramp-ups that are critical to Lenovo's strategic objectives. The successful candidate will consult with managers on all aspects of hiring, including recruitment strategy, candidate selection, compensation recommendations, and the presentation and negotiation of offers. This position is hybrid, requiring three days a week in the office, with a target start date in Spring 2025. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for recruiting skill sets and candidate profiles that are new to Lenovo and aligned with our strategic initiatives and emerging technologies. The responsibilities will include requisition assignment and management of recruitment activities for Worldwide Functions and Motorola. Additionally, the Specialist will lead and manage special projects for the North America Talent Acquisition organization and other business-directed initiatives. The role will also involve creating and negotiating offers with candidates, which may include complex compensation packages, long-term incentives, relocation, or visa sponsorship issues. The Specialist will consult with HR Business Partners in other countries, providing necessary guidance on the North America hiring process, and will interact with hiring managers and teams across multiple countries and regions. Participation in after-hours conference calls may be required to accommodate candidates, managers, or TA peers in other countries as needed. Furthermore, the Specialist will interface with HR Partners and business leaders on workforce planning and headcount tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with HR Business Partners in other countries and provide guidance on the North America hiring process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and teams across multiple countries/regions.
  • Participate in after-hours conference calls to accommodate candidates, managers, or TA peers in other countries as needed.
  • Interface with HR Partners and business leaders on workforce planning and headcount tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources or related field.
  • Previous work experience or internship experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior recruiting/HR experience preferred.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Solid analytical skills, ability to create reports and recruiting metrics.
