About the position

The Perfect Child is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to take on the dual role of Talent Acquisition Specialist and RBT Trainer. This position is crucial for the growth and development of our team, as it involves overseeing the hiring and training processes within our San Jose training center/clinic. The ideal candidate will not only be responsible for recruiting new talent but also for ensuring that our training programs are effective and comprehensive, enabling new hires to provide the best possible care to families with autistic children. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our operations, working closely with the HR Assistant and various departments to maintain a smooth and efficient clinic environment. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing training procedures, coordinating onboarding processes, and acting as a point of contact for employee inquiries. You will play a key role in fostering a supportive and educational atmosphere for new Behavior Technicians and aspiring RBTs, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the needs of the families we serve. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist/RBT Trainer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our employees and the families we support. Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolutions.
  • Review resumes of new potential employees.
  • Conduct interviews for potential new employees.
  • Coordinate training for new employees and ensure that they are properly onboarded before training begins.
  • Work closely with clinical staff to develop an effective training for new Behavior Technicians/ aspiring RBTs.
  • Take a lead role in training incoming Behavior Technicians.
  • Communicate employment information to new employees and assist with any onboarding related queries.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
  • Collaborate with HR assistant to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure a pleasant onboarding and training experience.
  • Greeting employees and visitors once they enter the facility.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Behavior Technician
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, ABA or related field
  • Knowledge of basic regulations and practices within an office/clinic setting
  • Passion for educating others and helping others advance in their careers
  • Great at public speaking and being able to answer questions with ease
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Advanced technology proficiency (Microsoft Suite, Acrobat, Google Suite)
  • Exceptional time management, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to adjust plans in short notice as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
