About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Iron Horse Companies is responsible for managing the recruitment process across all departments, focusing on sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates. This role requires a proactive approach to recruiting, utilizing various platforms and methods to attract talent, and collaborating with internal teams to meet hiring needs. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, has strong communication skills, and is eager to contribute to the company's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staffing needs across all departments.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with candidates and employees.
  • Proactively source candidates through cold calls and other methods.
  • Utilize multiple recruiting platforms: Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
  • Work within a set budget for sponsored recruitment ads.
  • Develop creative solutions for hiring needs.
  • Attend recruitment events to represent the company.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from initial contact to start date.
  • Make 25-50 calls per day as needed.
  • Recruit for all levels, from entry-level positions to senior management roles.
  • Assist with internal administrative tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure hiring needs are met and escalate approvals to the COO or President.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees, including conducting orientation sessions and preparing necessary paperwork.
  • Support the HR team in organizing company events, employee recognition programs, and training.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruiting.
  • Familiarity with HR processes, particularly onboarding.
  • Experience in construction recruiting is a strong plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is REQUIRED.

Nice-to-haves

  • Sales experience (1 year preferred).
  • Experience with social media hiring (1 year required).
