About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist - Recruiter at The Baker Center for Children and Families is responsible for supporting the recruitment process across all departments. This part-time position involves full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates, as well as developing job descriptions and managing job postings. The role aims to build a strong HR infrastructure and enhance the recruitment, talent development, and retention processes within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, conducting interviews, reference checks, and extending offers.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of staffing and position needs through strategic partnerships with managers and department leaders.
  • Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers and prepare, post, and manage jobs on external and internal career sites.
  • Research and utilize niche recruiting sites to attract a diverse and robust talent pool.
  • Engage passive candidates to generate interest in opportunities with The Baker Center.
  • Coordinate participation in career fairs and build candidate pipelines.
  • Launch offer letters and coordinate new hire onboarding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Management, Organizational Behavior, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience in behavioral health, social work, hotlines, clinical, or education.
  • Experience in full-cycle talent acquisition, sourcing, interviewing, and reference checking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), ATS, and familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Recruiter Certification (PRC), Recruiter Academy Certified Recruiter (RACR), SHRM-CP and/or PHR preferred.
