About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Memorial Healthcare System plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission, vision, and values by facilitating various aspects of the hiring process. This position is integral to ensuring compliance with hiring requirements and overseeing the background check process, while also providing a concierge pre-boarding experience for new hires. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is dedicated to enhancing the Memorial culture and delivering the Memorial Experience to all candidates and new employees. In this role, the specialist will support the Talent Acquisition department by participating in internal and external job fairs, as well as college and university career days and expos. They will facilitate a concierge service throughout the pre-boarding experience, which includes managing the process from offer acceptance to new hire orientation. The specialist will coordinate and oversee the pre-employment clearance process, ensuring that all minimum hiring requirements are met. This includes adjudicating complex background check requirements, conducting reference calls with previous employers, and validating the necessary credentials and education of candidates. Additionally, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage multiple tasks and projects that align with the goals and initiatives of the Talent Acquisition team. They will provide support to the recruitment team by pre-screening applicants and preparing job offer details, as well as assisting with other activities as assigned. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to build and foster positive relationships with both internal and external clients, all while working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Talent Acquisition department by participating in internal and external job fairs, college/university career days, and expos.
  • Facilitate concierge service in the pre-boarding experience from offer acceptance to new hire orientation.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and oversee the pre-employment clearance process to ensure that minimum hiring requirements are met.
  • Adjudicate complex background check requirements and conduct reference calls directly with employers.
  • Complete and validate verifications of required credentials and education.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects in support of Talent Acquisition initiatives and goals.
  • Provide support to the Recruitment team by pre-screening applicants and preparing job offer details.
  • Support other activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Three (3) years' experience in Human Resources, Shared Services, or in a high volume, fast-paced customer service environment with high attention to detail.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office suite programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare recruitment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
