The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the global talent strategy in the North America (NAM) cluster, specifically focusing on our Owned & Operated (O&O) stores within our East Coast Market. This role is crucial in driving the full life cycle recruitment process for O&O stores across this market in partnership with the retail leadership team. You will also play a key role in supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives for O&O stores, including diversity & inclusion, talent management, succession planning, store acquisitions, and new store openings. In-house experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist recruiting for high volume positions in retail stores is required. Your responsibilities will include developing and managing the strategic, full cycle talent acquisition process for Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers, collaborating with management throughout the recruitment and selection process, and positioning yourself as the subject matter expert for talent acquisition in O&O. You will also manage the seasonal hiring strategy and process, work closely with the Compensation Analyst to ensure competitive pay, and research and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating recruitment strategies for new store openings, supporting local and global training initiatives, and ensuring compliance with company policies and federal and state laws. This role requires a proactive partnership with business stakeholders and the Director of Talent Acquisition to review practices and implement improvements as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the strategic, full cycle talent acquisition process for Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers.
  • Develop effective partnerships with retail leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with management throughout the recruitment and selection process, identifying and resolving obstacles.
  • Position as the subject matter expert for talent acquisition in O&O by providing best practices and updates.
  • Increase the effectiveness of field succession planning for store management roles.
  • Manage the seasonal hiring strategy and process for high volume positions.
  • Work closely with the Compensation Analyst to ensure competitive pay for candidates.
  • Research, suggest, and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Create recruitment strategies, objectives, and timelines for new store openings.
  • Support local and global training initiatives in collaboration with the Talent team and retail leaders.
  • Proactively partner with business stakeholders and the Director, Talent Acquisition to review practices and implement changes.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and support cluster objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and federal and state laws.
  • Plan, facilitate, and execute additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business Administration/Management is preferred.
  • 5+ years previous recruitment experience as a recruiter/TA Specialist with a focus on volume hiring within retail stores.
  • Previous experience hiring retail positions including Multi-unit Managers, Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, and below is required.
  • Experience with managing and understanding data to drive business decisions and insights.
  • HR Certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus.
  • Experience within a global retail organization is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Talent Acquisition best practices and principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
  • Attention to detail, with strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong time management skills and sense of accountability.
  • High level of comfort with ambiguity and working in the 'gray'.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.
