About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a crucial role in the growth and development of future leaders and team members within the organization. This position is situated in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where the individual will be responsible for full-cycle talent acquisition efforts. The specialist will engage in constant communication with various stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, Key Decision Makers, Hiring Managers, and Department Leads, to ensure effective recruitment strategies are implemented. The role requires a deep understanding of progressive sourcing strategies and technology solutions that encompass professional networking, web sourcing, job board utilization, social media engagement, and tapping into passive talent pools. The specialist will also be involved in college/university career channels, military recruitment, and trade school engagements to cultivate a diverse and engaged talent pipeline. Managing the talent acquisition process will involve utilizing the ADP Recruit applicant tracking system, overseeing activities from job postings to candidate selection. The specialist will adhere to the company's Talent Acquisition standards to ensure a fair, consistent, and cost-effective approach to attracting, selecting, and onboarding talent. Additionally, the role includes understanding and delivering on key talent metrics and performance indicators that align with the company's HR strategy. As a brand ambassador, the specialist will represent the company at external recruitment events, managing engagements with colleges, universities, military, and trade schools. They will also participate in corporate social responsibility efforts. The specialist will serve as the main point of contact for new hires, ensuring a positive onboarding experience from the acceptance of the offer through New Hire Orientation. Other administrative duties and special assignments may also be part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify recruitment and staffing strategies that can effectively fill open job roles in less than 45 days.
  • Provide frequent and concise progress updates to Management on open job requisitions throughout the talent acquisition process.
  • Fully understand progressive sourcing strategies and technology solutions associated with professional networking, web sourcing, job board utilization, social media, passive talent pools, college/university career channels, military recruitment, and trade school engagements.
  • Successfully manage the talent acquisition process using ADP Recruit applicant tracking system, including job postings, candidate review and disposition, interviews, pre-employment talent assessments, legal employment requirements, and final selection of candidates.
  • Follow the company's Talent Acquisition standards of operations to ensure a fair, consistent, and cost-effective method of attracting, selecting, and onboarding talent.
  • Understand and deliver on key talent metrics and performance indicators that support the company and HR strategy, utilizing HR Analytics and dashboard reports.
  • Serve as the brand ambassador at external recruitment events, managing college/university, military, and trade school recruitment events, and participating in corporate social responsibility efforts.
  • Act as the main point of contact for new team members from acceptance of offer through New Hire Orientation, ensuring a positive first impression of the workplace experience.
  • Assist with other talent acquisition administrative duties and special assignments as identified.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in talent acquisition and recruiting, preferably in Corporate, Sales, and Manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of successful sourcing methods that produce positive results and a diverse talent pipeline.
  • Proficient in using technology solutions and platforms for recruitment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage high volume recruiting, including detailed workflow processes and deadlines.
  • Consultative skills to advise Management and engage top talented candidates.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with military recruitment and trade school engagements.
  • Familiarity with HR Analytics and dashboard reporting.
