About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a pivotal role within Strom Aviation, responsible for overseeing the entire recruiting process from start to finish. This position requires a proactive approach to managing candidate flow, ensuring that only the most qualified candidates are presented for each role. The specialist will engage in resume screening and applicant pre-qualification, meticulously evaluating resumes to identify candidates who meet the specific requirements of various positions, particularly in the fields of Mechanical, Electrical, and Aerospace engineering. This role is not just about finding candidates; it involves building relationships with both recruiters and candidates to facilitate a smooth hiring process. In addition to screening resumes, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will conduct phone interviews with qualified candidates, assessing their fit for the roles and coordinating further interviews with hiring managers. This requires exceptional telephone skills, including a clear and distinct voice, as well as the ability to maintain professionalism throughout the recruitment process. The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized documentation of all recruiting activities within the applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring that all candidate interactions and job searches are well-documented and easily accessible. Administrative tasks are also a key component of this role, including collecting references and managing data within the ATS. The specialist will need to be detail-oriented and organized to handle these responsibilities effectively. Overall, the Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in connecting qualified individuals with job opportunities, contributing to the overall success of Strom Aviation's recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and pre-qualify applicant resumes to select suitable candidates for each specific position.
  • Conduct phone screens with qualified candidates and coordinate subsequent interviews.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation on all candidates, job searches, and hiring managers' interactions within the ATS.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with recruiters and candidates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in recruiting, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, and Aerospace engineering disciplines.
  • Exceptional telephone skills, including appropriate business phone etiquette and a clear, distinct voice.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred.
