The specialist will also conduct initial phone screens, coordinate and participate in interview processes, and provide recommendations to hiring managers based on their assessments. Ensuring a positive candidate experience is a key responsibility, which includes maintaining regular communication, providing timely feedback, and assisting with onboarding processes. The specialist will implement strategies to attract a diverse candidate pool and promote inclusive hiring practices, aligning with the college's commitment to diversity and equity. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate recruitment records, tracking key metrics, and generating reports to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies. Promoting the college's employer brand is another critical aspect of this position, highlighting its culture, values, and benefits to attract top talent. The specialist will also ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as the college's policies and procedures, while staying current with industry trends and best practices to continually enhance recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Preferred 2-3 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in higher education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (Workday) and HRIS.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform recruitment strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.
