About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist role is essential to our operations and company mission. This position will attract and recruit talent for the organization. The specialist will work closely with business unit managers to hire, onboard, train, and retain talent, ensuring that the organization meets its hiring goals. This role requires a proactive approach to building relationships with hiring managers and candidates alike, fostering a collaborative environment that supports the recruitment process. In this position, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for recruiting a variety of levels and professionals. This will involve utilizing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), social media, search techniques, professional networking, and relationship building to identify and attract top talent. The specialist will manage the candidate experience through a first-class recruiting and hiring process, coordinating and conducting candidate phone screens and interviews, and managing onboarding expectations. The role also includes participation in various recruiting meetings, strategic initiatives, and projects aimed at continuous process improvement. The specialist will assist in the development of short- and long-term recruitment strategies and contribute to employment branding initiatives, enhancing the company's presence on social media, job boards, and other platforms. Maintaining the applicant tracking system and managing the applicant process will be key responsibilities, along with engaging and managing relationships with external agencies and resources. Additionally, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will articulate the firm's total compensation plan, benefit plans, and overall culture to attract and assess talent. Staying current with recruitment trends and best practices is essential, as is providing feedback to HR leadership. The specialist will also assist in creating and developing various learning programs and training experiences to support personnel development, working with department management to identify training needs and develop programs that achieve defined learning and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner and develop trusting relationships with hiring managers to recruit outstanding talent and ensure hiring goals are achieved.
  • Recruit a variety of levels and professionals utilizing the ATS, social media, search techniques, professional networking, and relationship building.
  • Manage candidate experience through a first-class recruiting and hiring process.
  • Coordinate and conduct candidate phone screens and interviews.
  • Manage onboarding expectations.
  • Participate and contribute to various recruiting meetings, strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Assist in the development of short- and long-term recruitment strategies for continuous process improvement.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of employment branding initiatives relative to social media presence, campaigns, advertisements and job boards.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system; manage applicant process; create and manage requisitions.
  • Engage and manage relationships with external agencies and resources.
  • Articulate the firm's total compensation plan, benefit plans and overall culture to attract and assess talent.
  • Maintain connections with industry associations, networks and organizations.
  • Stay current with overall recruitment trends and best practices and provide feedback to HR leadership.
  • Assist in the creation and development of various learning programs, training experiences, to help support personnel development of capabilities and knowledge needed to grow the company.
  • Work with department management on identifying training needs.
  • Develop and certify programs that achieve the defined learning and business objectives of the department.
  • Execute and operationalize development programs and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related degree required.
  • 3-5 years experience in Human Resources highly desired.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication with all levels in the organization.
  • Proficient in the use of applicant tracking systems (ATS), MS Office, HRIS systems.
  • Working knowledge of hiring best practices, policies, procedures, and employment law.
