We are seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team at Los Angeles Apparel. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing candidates through various channels including job boards, job fairs, social media, networking, and referrals. You will review and screen resumes and other credentials to assess candidate qualifications and fit for open positions. Conducting initial phone screenings, interviews, and reference checks to evaluate candidates' skills and experience will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will partner with managers across different departments to understand their staffing needs and develop and execute effective recruitment strategies. You will collaborate with department managers on interview techniques and best practices in the candidate evaluation process. Managing candidates through the recruitment process from initial contact to offer stage is crucial. You will ensure a positive candidate experience by keeping applicants informed of their status and providing timely feedback. Additionally, facilitating a smooth onboarding process and maintaining a relationship with new hires through check-ins and consistent communication will be part of your duties. Compliance and documentation are also important aspects of this role. You will ensure compliance with all legal requirements and company policies throughout the recruitment process and maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in our applicant tracking system. Continuous improvement is encouraged, so staying updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition is essential. You will recommend and implement process improvements to streamline recruitment procedures and enhance efficiency, as well as review recruiting and onboarding metrics regularly to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of work experience as a recruiter or in a similar role, preferably in the apparel industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough understanding of current California state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with Topgrading methodology for talent acquisition
  • Proactive and maintains a positive attitude and a good gauge of character
  • Comfortable working with data and metrics for decision making to drive continuous improvements
